December 2020 Township News

Hello Almont Community!
As we have been posting… the new park playset is here and ready to be installed. For warranty, cost, insurance, and liability reasons we have contracted to have the manufacturer’s supervisors on site Saturday the 23rd and Sunday the 24th of October, 9am-4pm. They will be directing the install.
We need some volunteers other than Park Board members and we’re looking for 4-6 people each day. You must be at least 18, have a functional knowledge of basic hand tools and be able to perform physical labor. The supervisor team will be supplying all the necessary tools and will have the posts cemented in the previous Thursday. If you would like to volunteer, here is a link to sign-up. You can volunteer for a full day or half day. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.
Saturday: 9am-12:30pm and/or 12:30-4pm
Sunday: 9am-12:30pm and/or 12:30-4pm.

Internet Purchase Exchange Safe Zone
In the interest of providing a safe and convenient location for everyone to connect and conduct their sales and/or purchases, the Almont Township Board has created a local Internet Purchase Exchange Safe Zone. The Internet Purchase Exchange Safe Zone is in the rear parking lot of the Almont Twp/Village Hall at 819 N. Main Street in Almont. A sign has been installed clearly showing the established area, which will be left/south of the recycling canisters. The area is under video surveillance.
